Hi, my name is Byron Sommardahl. My wife and I are missionaries in Honduras, work full-time remotely and travel frequently between Honduras and the USA as a family. Our two boys (8 and 15) have both been homeschooling since they were old enough. We love it!! But, it's not always easy!
We've found that we constantly struggle with three main things:
How can we help our kids be more independent as they study, complete assignments and learn?
How can we get visibility into our kids' progress and scores as they work independently?
How can we be sure our kids are truly learning what they need to be successful?
As a software developer by trade, I often solve problems like this with code, but needed a "push" to get it done for these particular problems. This year, we had to make a change in curriculum wh1ich was the push I needed! I decided to finally solve the problems we've been struggling with for years. That's how Stretch Academy was born.
